The past week

So staying up last week seemed to work, think I did pretty well on that test. Only thing is I was dead tired after the test and even worse after giving blood. Not the best move on my part.

The rest of the week seemed to go by like any other. Shooting the news: one of our best episodes we had done. Classes: as boring as ever. WOW Factor: Used a green-screen to shoot the entire show, either it will come out really cool, or it will look like shit, We'll see.

This past weekend we had another shoot, 2 more 12hr days... loads of fun...
Anyway at least we're almost done, we have this upcoming weekend off and then the next weekend is our last 2 days of shooting. Everyone is looking forward to finally being done with the shooting of this movie. Once were done we can finally get into the editing process which a group of people in the class are looking forward to. Haven't decided if i want to help out with that yet. Plan is to sit in for a bit and see how it is. If i like it and find it to be "fun" then yah, I'll help.

Did something to my knee today while doing some kickboxing. Hurts to move, hurts while lying down, hurts to think about. Hopefully it's nothin to serious and will get better soonish.

Not much more going on, group presentation tomorrow for ethics that I'm not ready for and just gonna pull outa my ass. but eh, w/e.

So here we are again...

Yep, its another all nighter for me. I have a test in the morning that i have to study for and a paper i need to start. So here i am sitting at my computer thinking about going to sleep and deciding that it would be a better idea to not sleep and just stay up the entire night. at least i have a pot of coffee made and ready for when i finish my current cup. For some reason this week is just so busy. today i had class, then a group project meeting then i had to go to the edit suites for 5-6hrs to work on my animation some more. We looked over the animations in class today and they had some ideas of how to make it better, so I went in and changed it around a bit. Now im sitting at my desk with my ethics book studying for a test tomorrow in business ethics, not looking forward to it at all.

What makes me staying up being an even better idea is that tomorrow i go from 9:40am - 7pm straight through. oh and I'm giving blood. haha, lets see how this goes.

Well this was a pleasant surprise. I wake up early this morning, get ready and head out for another day of shooting. I get to where we are all meeting and the director decides that we are going to cancel the shoot because it was too cold outside and the building we were going to be shooting in has no heat. So today I've been able just to lay around.

Yesterday we had a day off from the movie. I spent it relaxing in the morning, just laid in bed till 3pm watching Netflix. Then I went to the communications building on campus and worked on my production logo. Was in there for 6hrs working on it. Thankfully Netflix supplied some sort of entertainment while i worked. I finished My logo, its a 10sec long animation, it should be posted on my website within the next week or two, once teacher gets done with it. I'll prob head back over to the communications building in a lil bit and work on a few more animations i have to make, haven't decided yet.

As for now, just laying in bed. enjoying the weekend that i have off. Just relaxing, kind of wishing i was back at home or round there where it snowed, somehow, today. Oh well.

So, lets see...

Whats new?
Well, last weekend we went to shoot in an old abandoned mill up in Eden, NC. We spent 12 hours there on both Saturday and Sunday. Lets just say it wasn't the best time. Paint flaking off everything, (walls, ceiling, pillars), Dirt everywhere, trash scattered about, random puddles of water and oil around some of the rooms. And to help it all, it was rather cold those days to, no electricity in the building so no heat. Would probably had been not so bad if they actually had me do something but as 2nd AD im not really finding myself doing anything, and as props master they call me maybe once every 2-3hrs to bring them something. so most the time I'm just sitting there.

Then this past week nothing new really happened, just the usual stuff. I directed another episode of the news, first take alot of things went wrong but our second take was almost perfect, so lil bit of editing and it should look halfway decent.

And then we have this weekend. the Producer and the 1st Assistant Director are not going to be here for the shoots this weekend, Friday and Sunday, so im doing the 1st Assistant Directors job. Just had to call a few commands and stay on set the entire time, which wouldn't be so bad if the set wasn't in a small dorm room; so it gets very hot with all the lighting we have to bring in. But we got through it last night, took us 7hrs. This is the first Saturday I've had off from the movie. Tomorrow we have another shoot in the schools warehouse, I'm calling the commands again but this shouldn't be so bad because we have more room this time.

I can't believe that the semester is almost over, seems like it just started... kinda

Spring break and onward.

So spring break was last week. Not too bad, rather boring though. Ended up just sittin round the house most the week cause nothing going on back round my home. Then finally towards the end of break got to do some stuff. I drove down and met a friend and drove back up to her school. Spent time with her for a few days. We ran the DC Saint Patrick's Day 8K on Sunday. It was tough but fun. I finished just over an hr, about 20min after her, lol. And Duke won ACC championship!!!

Now back at school, back in the rut. Everything is the same. Still busy, very busy.
Now that the 8K is over had to find something to keep me motivated to keep going to the gym. So now I've started P90X. Today is Day 3. So far its going pretty well, however it is really really painful. This workout is really intense, defiantly since im not used to working out like this. But I'm determined to get through it and do the full regiment. Who knows, maybe it'll work and ill actually get into shape. We'll see.

Yesterday was St. Patrick's Day, and it was rather boring for me. I was busy all day till about 9:00 at night so didn't get to drink or party much. first St Patrick's Day for a while that i was sober all day, oh well

Tomorrow and Sunday I have to go up to Eden, NC for a few scenes for the movie. Were shooting in an abandoned warehouse. yah... this will be fun... Oh well, maybe if im lucky we'll be done quickly.

One more week down, 11 more to go

So this semester is taking its toll. Less sleep than I would like to be getting. Way too much work. Just busy as can be. The lack of weekends isn't helping at all.

We started shooting the movie last weekend. The first day, Saturday, we shot in a small classroom for 9hrs. I ended up being an extra because we have been having problems getting enough people to volunteer to be extras. It was... well not fun. I ended up just sitting there for 9hrs straight and pretty much doing nothing. Apparently i ruined a take because i had a "strange facial expression." Oh well, it happens. I didn't sign up to be an actor.
Then Sunday we did another 9hrs of shooting. Thank god we were at least in a little bit more of an open space. This time I just spent most the time sitting around. Few times I got called in to be an extra just to walk in front of the camera. But other than that, after i had all the extras signed in and the set dressed I did nothing.

This weekends shoot is gonna be worse than last weekends. We're shooting in a dorm room. I already set everything up yesterday. But I still have to be there just in case anything goes wrong. So for today I head over and I get to sit in someones bedroom for about 9hrs, most likely not doing anything, while they shoot in the other room. hopefully I can be on skype most the time, we'll see. And then I get to do it again tomorrow.

Thankfully this is our last weekend of shooting before spring break. My break starts on Thursday. So I'm planning on leaving straight from classes and getting on the road. No real plans for most of break. Playing it by ear for the most part, we'll see what happens. Towards the end of break I have that 8k with my best friend, hopefully we'll be ready.

The first actual show that I've ever directed has been posted to the web, http://bit.ly/gCSzK1. Yah I've directed a few shows for class before but those were for a grade and weren't serious really. This is a news broadcast that HPU has weekly. and now I'm the director for the program. So lil bit of pressure. I watched over this first one I did, I see my mistakes, and I'm ready to fix them and make a better show next week. we'll see on Tuesday.

Finally the end of the week...

Soooooo...
This week has been rather long. Classes eh... had a TV news shoot on Tuesday and today I had a WOW Factor shoot (our variety show). Seemed like everything that could go wrong for the WOW Factor recording, did. The guest we were gonna interview didn't show up, mic's kept dieing, a few graphic and video glitches. But in the end everything seemed to come together rather well. The director was really stressed about the whole show and was worried that it didn't turn out fine, but im sure once we get done editing it will be one of the best ones done so far.

The movie the communications department is shooting the first scene on Saturday. First of many long, long days of shooting. We shoot every weekend till the end of the semester. Only break I get is spring break and one weekend near the end of the semester. So, this will be interesting to say the least.

Next week i direct my first news show. I'm not even part of the class that i will be directing for but apparently the teacher wants me to direct for her class so I guess at least its good practice for when i graduate since thats what i want to do in the long-run. I'm nervous about it though. I really don't want to screw up since its pretty much on me what it looks like. Oh well, we'll see. Sure it won't be too bad.

Still training for the 8K. So far so good, haven't missed any of my days for my regiment, so i guess thats good. It's still hard to force myself to go on days that i really don't want to move but I'm getting through it. It is slowly getting easier and easier for me to work out, i can go longer than i could before without having to stop so i guess it's working; at least a little.

One week later...

Well, last week was great. Had a lot of fun in Arlington with my best friend, and who I think is the most amazing person in the world. I think she enjoyed it too...
Anyway, took a week off from school last week to go see her for her birthday. We studied, went shopping, drank, cooked, played video games, etc. All in all pretty good week. Sadly i had to leave, but its all good. (130hrs together, she had to be getting sick of me by then)

back at school, yay...
Got some animations to make, had meetings this past week, gotta cast extras for the movie, busy week. We start shooting in two weeks, hopefully we'll be ready.

I've started going to the gym again. Originally it was just because I needed to train for an 8k that im running with her in a month. But now its for me, I'm actually starting to enjoy it. I'm slowly getting in better shape. It's lil harder forcing myself to go to the gym now that shes gone but I'm doing it.

Stress

So school has gotten a lot more stressful within the past week.
I picked up the Assistant director roll in the movie. So now I'm Assistant Director, Extras Coordinator, DIT, Props, and Computer Generated Efx. Just by adding this one job i added a lot more meetings and a lot more work. As far as my other classes go only my animation class is getting stressful. Only reason that class is busy is cause he assigned us about 5 animations this past week. I ended up doing them all this past Friday.

Thank god I'm about to get a break from it all. In about 2 days I'm taking about half a week from school, driving up to DC and spending the rest of the week up there with my best friend. Can't wait!
Once I leave school for this short, but needed, break I'm leaving it all behind. Until I have to come back, I'm leaving it all behind and not gonna think about it at all.

New semester

Well, school has started back up. I can't believe that i only have 1.5 more years. This semester is going to be a very busy one. Got an animation class, a video lab (where I'm just working for the campus news station as always), business ethics (oh fun...), and then a movie production class. so gonna be rather busy all semester. My movie production class is gonna take up a lot of time, I'm currently working in DIT, props, and I'm the Liaison between the director and the game designers. I also might be picking up the job of Assistant Director cause one of the students left the school and we need to find a replacement, fingers crossed.
Then not only do I have these classes but on my day off, Fridays, I have meetings almost every week for hours and I'm running all over campus to get to them. so thats gonna be fun. But you know all in all its gonna be a good semester. Even if it is a lot of work. Yah, i might complain and moan a bit but this work and being this busy is good for me. I'm taking on a lot of responsibility with this movie and with work. Most of my meetings tomorrow are for the movie, and I'm actually kinda looking forward to it. I enjoy the responsibility. If i want to be a director or a producer, then I'd better get used to it. So no matter what, this is a great experience. Good for my resume, great experience, and a lot of fun.

Only complaint i have is that my best friend is 5hrs away. But, its good. Shes at a school where she can get the education she wants. Shes happy, so i'm happy for her. Still, just not the same round here without her. Oh well, shes a lot closer to my house now so when i go home I'll be able to see her a lot more.

Lets see, school, meetings, responsibility, best friend.... yah thats bout it.
Oh, I wasn't able to convince the school to take some students to E3 this year, oh well. Still plan on going if i can get the money. We'll see.

well, i dont know if you still read this anymore. you said you wanted every detail of my life but idk anymore. but i'll post at least one more time anyway.

well schools done for the semester, everything went over pretty well. passed all my classes. still waiting to hear back bout my gpa, if its high enough i might have an internship with a tv station, we'll see. other than that nothin new in the past. next semester im makin a movie if the internship doesnt go through, so that should be interesting. and i will still be working on the news network for the school.

look, if you do still read this. let me know. im a lil hurt that you didn't tell me about the boyfriend, would have been fine if i found out from you vs just checking the status feed. you want every detail of my life, well id like the details of yours.

And It Goes On

So haven't posted for a while, sorry bout that. I don't really have time to post now but everyone know procrastination is key to a good assignment. So anyway, heres whats been going on since the last post.

Fall break was pretty good, good to be home, however it was rather, um, wouldn't say boring but it was like i was in a rut, same thing almost every day. wake up, turn on tv/xbox/computer, game, bed, repeat. None of my friends from back home, their fall break didn't fall round mine so I was out of luck with any plans. oh well it was nice to not have class for a while.

Driving back from break I stopped in Raleigh for a few hours and hung out with a really good friend of mine that i really miss because she left HPU. But she got accepted into her nursing school so I am really happy for her! Anyway, we went to the State Fair and hung out there for a while, played games, saw the animals, walked around. Then we went to see Hereafter, OMFG such a bad movie. Dear lord that movie... ARGH!!! Haha, but I still had fun because i was there with her.

I ended up not going to the Rally in DC, and boy was it a good decision; I watched it on tv and online. SOOOO many people! Just by looking at the crowd I could tell that i would have gotten there 2 days early to see the stage. Later I discovered that the estimated head count there was 215,000 people. Um, so yah, glad I didn't go in a way, i got the best view of the event here at my desk.

College is getting a bit busy, I've got quite a few papers due in a week. Quizzes ect. But at least next week is Thanksgiving break, we get off about 5 days or so, so its a decent break. Then when i get back its the home stretch till the end of the semester.

I signed up for classes just the other day, got most of the classes I wanted, had to compromise with one but thats fine. I'm part of the crew for a movie production at my school. We're using some real high budget equipment, So this will be fun. If i thought i was busy this semester, gonna be even more next.

I'M BACK!!!

Hey world!
Well after along time of not posting, I'm back again by popular demand. My summer didn't change much from my last post. A lot more screaming kids. A lot more sitting around not doing anything. And my town still has nothing to do. To help me pass the time, for at least one week, I reported on the keynotes of E3, can be seen at http://jboll3e3.blogspot.com/

I got to come back to my school early so I could help move in freshmen. God that was alot of work. 1383 freshmen moved in this year and we carried all their stuff up the stairs to their rooms. It was alot of fun though and it was hood to get back.

A very good friend of mine and I worked things out. Sadly she is transferring to a different school but im glad if it makes her happy. Fingers crossed that shes gets in. She came down for a Cobra Starship concert that my school had put on for the students. It was good until you got far enough away that you could hear them and you discover that they sucked, lol. But all in all it was fun.

Classes are pretty good overall, except English. English SUCKS!!! Video production is probably the best. so far ive produced/directed one show. I've acted in another students video and I'm also working with the tv studio on campus again this year possibly producing one of show.

On the 30th I will be in DC for Jon Stewart's Rally To Restore Sanity
and Stephen Colbert's rally Keep Fear Alive along with the thousands of other people that will be there, so come join us all.

Whats new

Well, not alot new right now. Just finished up my second week or teaching this summer, now i have 2 weeks off and god knows i need it. 2 weeks straight of 30 2-6 year olds, takes a toll on a guy. I've tried to get a second job but no where around is hiring so kind of stuck financially till i get back to school.

God i cant wait to get back to college. see my friends again, start back classes, work issues out with some ppl, just want it to start back up. Not back here at home, nothings ever going on and there is nothing around. oh well

My dad just got a 360 finally, so i got to set that up this morning, lol. not much of an issue except when he kept on worrying when ever something popped up or when he wouldn't listen to me. He finally realized that im not a complete idiot when it comes to video games and tech, I've been telling him to get one forever and that he'll love it (deff more than his precious Wii). Well guess what he loves it and he hasn't even started playing games yet so yah, he might actually start listening to me now.

what to do

What do you do when finally everything you have been hoping would happen for months finally happens.
Would be fine, but guess im just afraid what will happen if I actually go through with it.
Just don't want to be hurt like that again, put my trust in someone and then they just rip away.
This is why I don't trust people.
but at the same time im afraid if i don't give the chance, they might slip away.
so lil bit of a delima there.

WWDC

So i just followed apple's keynote this year (WWDC). they announced the new iphone 4, which if you have been on the internet at all within the past few months you have already seen since one of their employees lost one. It has a longer battery life, a higher resolution, running iOS4, and will have a 5mp camera with a 5x zoom and will shoot HD video. There will be a version of iMovie for the iphone for editing videos.

Apple also announced iOS4 which is their new mobile OS for iphone 3G, 3GS, 4, and ipod touch. It will give consumers multitasking, ibooks, iAds and many more features.

HTML 5 apps are going to be supported on the ipods and phones so now anyone can make an app.

I might have broken my toe the other day. Pretty painful but not too bad depending on how i step. My parents want me to go to the doctor but i'm not sure yet, its not that bad so i might just pass it off and decide it's a sprain and just stay off of my feet for a while.

I am finally caving in and getting an ipod. It was either get an itouch or iphone. Decided to go with the touch because it is gonna save me $360 a year. Also going with the touch gives me the option to get a droid later on when it is time for an upgrade or our contract ends.

Summer

Wow, I'ts been a while since I last updated. I've had to update a separate blog for a class of mine so i never got around to updating this one.

She never started talking again to me all semester, oh well, I dealt with it better than i thought I would all semester. She tried to contact me at the beginning of summer but i refused to let her get my number. If she wants to find me shes gonna have to work at it not just ask my room mates for my number. Not completely over her but I'm movin on, have too.

My classes all went well this past semester, I actually ended up being the person that knew what they were doing in most of the classes. I had to tutor people, ME TUTOR OTHERS!
My grades were the best than they had been so far in college.

I am workin with the High Point University television station as the technical director. I sit behind a switch and control which camera is broadcasting. We currently have a News, Sports, and variety show. I'm working with the news and variety. I also got to record the senior service and stream it over the net. Hopefuly we can get more of that goin on.

I don't start work till the end of June so I've got a bit of time on my hands. Hopefully I can make enough money to trick out all my electronics, so far got the switch for my network, got a tv; I'm tryin to get a iphone, new computer, maybe another tv, and i wanna look into getting the CS5 adobe suite.

Hopefully next semester will go as well as last and who knows maybe

End of break

Well winter break is comming to an end and things really havent gotten better. so when i get back on sunday things are starting over, gonna meet new people, do new things. complete restart, cause I cant stand how i am right now, parts of me are missing and i cant have that, its driving me insane. but thats what you get when you put all trust in someone and they let you down for no reason i guess. I know better than to make that mistake again. anyway, the entire break has pretty much consisted of me watchin shows on my laptop while im playin games on my computer. went out to see a few movies. but thats about it. Hopin to get a second job when i get back at school, make a lil bit more money. hopefuly i can save up enough to go to cali this summer, duno though.

Winter break

Ahh, finally time for winter break. Have a month off from school, so it should be good for me. Need the time away from some people there and it's good to have a break from some of the classes. Me and my best friend back at school aren't talking, dunno why but she pretty much has cut off all communication with me out of the blue, literally we were laughing and talking 3hrs before and now she wont have anything to do with me. So i don't know whats going on there, hopefully things clear up.

This past semester has gone by pretty fast. Grades aren't the best but I'm taking easy classes next year to help boost my GPA. I've decided that I'm gonna major in communications: electronic media, because i really want to get into television, whether its acting, producing. pretty much anything.

Smmer: Month 2

God I'm ready to go back to school and see everyone there. Lots of drama going on here at home. Not many people to hang out with around here so I've been spending a lot of time in my room, online, playing video games, etc.

I got a job at coldstone, currently I'm not on the schedule but my manager is having me come in on weekends until I am put on. I HATE working weekends! This past Saturday I went in at 4pm and i had costumers until 10:30. I Finally got a break then but it was just long enough to go across the street to 7-11 and get a drink because we close at 11 and we have to do our closing rounds.

I'm getting through a lot of games on my ps3. I've actually started a Video Game Review blog, hopefully I can Keep this one updated better than My movie review, that was a fail. If you all want me to start back up my movie site i can but I've deleted it at the time.

I'm trying to stay away from WoW at the time but its a little hard cause theres nothing to do so It gets very boring. All thats on tv are reruns, I've seen some shows so many times since I've been home i can recite them word for word along with the show.

Been a while

Wow its been a while since my last post where to begin.
Well after that last post exams were coming up so that was pretty stressful. Me and one friend of mine hung out allot during the exam times, watching movies together and studying. Gavin Degraw came for a concert the night before exams started, that was pretty good.

On my birthday i was driving out of the parking lot at school to go eat lunch with a friend and i scratched the car next to me, it was 600 bucks to repair the very minor scratch. then the next day I got rear ended about 10 min away from my home. Car is in the shop now being repaired. I got a new cell phone and got my plan updated to unlimited texting. My family got me tickets to go see RENT for my birthday. It was in DC and it had the original Mark and Roger, Anthony Rapp and Adam Pascal in it, also the final performance Angel. That was pretty cool and it was worth seeing it live with them in it.

Today was my first day working at Coldstone Creamery. It went well. The manager tought me how to close the store, that was pretty cool. and i ended up working 7.6hrs on my training day.

GREAT WEEKEND

God where to start this weekend was amazing, too bad it has to come to an end. on Friday me and 3 friends went to go see 17 again, it was a good movie. then on Saturday i spend the whole day with two of those people, we went swimming, got some ice cream and watched some movies back at my room. then Sunday i went on a run with one of them. God what a great run, i haven't done that for a year so my legs are killing me. I need to start doing that more often so i can be in better shape.
And now its Monday morning :(. oh well maybe this week won't be so bad. we'll see

Easter Weekend

Well it's Easter weekend. A lot of students went home for the weekend to spend the holiday with their family. I decided that i was going to stay here on campus because i have a lot of work to do and it's a very long drive home. So far I've seen 4 movies, caught up on my tv shows and started to watch the Dresden files again. In a few hours i'm gonna go see Adventure land with my suite mates. I went to see Dragon Ball Evolution yesterday. It was HORRIBLE! It was so bad that its MST3K worthy.

I've been thinking about starting my own web cast, I don't know when that is gonna happen. Gonna open up my own website once i have some time for myself, which should be in about 4 weeks.

Lately

Hello people who probably don't read this.
Well lets see whats been going on lately?...
Schools all going the same. I have found out what room we are going to be in for next year and I'm almost done registering for classes. I would be done with my classes but I was in the last group to sign up and the classes i wanted to take are full, so... we'll see what happens.
I've applied for an internship with G4TV on AOTS. I love that show so much and think it would be a lot of fun to work there. God i would love to get that internship.
This morning I had to go to the hospital go get a piece of pencil lead cut out of my foot. It's a long story and I've told it way to many times now so if you care ask but in a nutshell, It's painful.
I'm going to a programing Competition with my school tomorrow and we have to leave at 8. WOW! it's 2:23 am now, I'd better go or else i won't wake up in time.

UGH!!
I'm actually starting to feel the stress. Main problems with my room mates. I am so ready for summer and next semester. We got room assignments yesterday, I got the room mates that I wanted to get but not the building. Luckily the room we got are prety much the same compared to the building we wanted. I will be having my own room next year so thats a plus but its off campus.
I have started watching Doogie Howser M.D. on hulu. I'm almost half way through the second season.

Spring Break

Well this past week has been spring break for me. Its been nice to get away from school for a while and not have the stress of multiple papers, presentations, and tests all hitting me up all at the same time. I also needed a break from my room mates for a while. Unfortunately I have to head back on Sunday and that is when most of my friends from up here start their spring break. On the bright side, I'm done with my freshman year in only a month and a half. Its true, time flies in college. It seems like only yesterday that i started. I have another competition coming up in April. Same one as in the fall, programing. I've decided that I'm going to change my major from a BS in Computer Science to a BA in computer Science and double with a BA in Criminal Justice. We'll see how that goes for a while, I think it might be fun.

I'm trying to set back up my twitter account but it was deleted before their restore date so I'm having problems. Emailing the support so it should be fixed soon.

I kind of wish people would post comments or soothing just so i know if people read my blog. The more comments i get the more often I'll post. I won't stop posting it's just I would like to know if I need to pay more attention to the site.

Thinking

Wow well alot of things happened within the past 2 days that really made me think. first 2 days ago my college had a woman come and speak on and explain cryptology. It was a very interesting lecture. Then just a couple of hours ago I watched What the BLEEP do we Know. It was a very intelegent and interesting video. It talked alot about quantum physics, time, space, and reality. A major point that it makes is that you create your own reality. Your brain sees only what it wants to see and it also controls if you get sick or even how you look. If you think badly of yourself, think your fat or a bad person, you will be because emotions are controlled by different proteins that are released in your brain. so if you think your fat, youll get fat or fatter. Just the thought of all that really makes me wonder. so now im going to try to live out every day differently, let less things bother me.

Well im back at school for the second semester of college. So far all my classes are going well. Lost another suite mate, he decided to drop out of school and become a country star, good luck with that. Went to the UNC vs Miami game last weekend, very impressive. X-Mas break

Well i got home for break the Friday before last. Didn't really do anything until the 24th. On the 24th my grandparents (dad's side) came down. We all went to an 8:00 service at church where my parents sang. Then around 10:00 we went to a concert put on by the director of music at the church, Milton Rodgers, and a jazz teacher and player, Jeffery Haydon. Right after the concert was the 11:00 service where my brother sang. We finally got back home around 1:00am. Christmas day we opened our gifts. My Grandparents got me a guitar so I'm now trying to learn how to play. Today, Monday the 29th my other set of Grandparents come down. We'll see what they bring. Usually it's Hit and miss with their gifts, but its all good I can always return and get something i want.

School, friends, and "what could possibly go wrong"!!!

So, I'm just over half way through my first semester of college. Great so far, me and all of my suite mates get along great, except for one who just moved out today. He didn't get along with anyone in the suite though. We tried to include him in stuff we did but he just stayed in his room and watched sports or just sat in front of random student halls. Well after 4 months of him fighting with all of us and all the drama you could imagine he moved out into a different room.
Made a few friends down here outside the room, ones in my computer science class and i just branched off into the mixture of his friends. We end up almost every night playing cards or XBOX. We eat lunch and dinner together everyday.
Weather started to get cold about a week ago, but it came back up into the 70s here yesterday.
I have a competition again tomrrow. I had one 2 weeks ago where we had to write programs to solve the problems. This competition is similar but instead of just writing the programs we have to also design them in UML. Lucky for me im on the design team and both of us know 0 UML, but my team has 2 books on the subject so we'll seee how we do.

Well I started my job today. I was hired by the IT department at college to watch a computer lab between the hours of 4:30-9:00. Just watch the room and make sure nothing is taken. Its not horrible. and at least its only monday tuseday and thursday for those hours and then monday wendsday and friday i watch between 10:00am - 11:00Am.

Well first i got in the car with my driving instructor and we drove for about an hour. Then it was time for my test. The test she made me do is drive from a spot three miles away from my house to my house. I passed with flying colors. Got home and went to DMV to get my license. Got my license without a hitch. Then one of my best friends and i drove down to movie theater and saw Tropic thunder. That movie was amazing. and well thats it. right now im sittin here typin this and chatin with someone and i need to pack for college. i leave thursday. thats it here.

I head off to college under 2 weeks

Done teaching preschool for the summer.
Just got over a bad cold that i got from some kids at work.
Brother comes home today from a mission trip he was on and he gets to be welcomed back by putting him in a suit and going to a funeral for a family friend.
Got a new laptop.
and well thats about it.
got a splitting headache right now and its 2am so I'm gonna head off to bed

Finally Back!!!

Well after 3 weeks I'm finally back home. 3 weeks might not sound like a long time but it felt like forever. First i went to Kansas City, MO for the Skills USA competition. I didn't compete but i still won a few neat things out at the vendors, so that was fun. Then i flew home and went straight from the airport to High Point, NC for early class registration at High Point University. Then once i had my classes scheduled for the fall semester my family and i headed down the road to Orlando, FL for our vacation at Disney. We stayed on property at the Port Orleans Riverside resort. the first day we went to animal kingdom. that was pretty good everest was awesome, and the finding nemo musical is a must see. The next day we went to universal studios and that was interesting Simpson ride was ok but it was pretty much the same as the back to the future ride which it replaced. The next day we took the day off. Then we did magic kingdom on the 3rd instead of the 4th of July because they were testing their fireworks on the 3rd for the 4th, so we avoided the crowd there. The next day we went to MGM Studios. I loved the rock and roller coaster, i rode it like 4 times. The tower or terror was also good. we took the next day off and then we went to universal island of adventure. I was not impressed there at all. The only things i enjoyed was twin dragon and the hulk and they were just your typical roller coaster. Jurassic park they let run down, and well almost everything else just sucked for the most part. but i think the worst of them all was the doctor doom ride it shot you up real fast and then floated you down like a feather. the next day we had off, we went to a water park. Then on our last day we went to epcot. Turtle talk with crush was amazing, you may think its a kiddy thing, and well it kind of is. However its amazing how they did the programing and the technology they used in it. The next day and today we drove home.
And there you have it the past 3 weeks summed up for all to read.

Wow its been a while since I've posted. Lets see whats new. well graduated from high school last week. Next week I'm in Kansas City, MO for skills usa, its a free trip and i don't have to do anything so why not. then i come back and drive down to my college for registration. I have been accepted into my college where i plan to stay till 2012
I just won first place in an electronics competition last week so now i get to go to states.
FIRST Robotics competition is this Thursday and next Thursday, that will be interesting and fun.

Stop!.....Turkey Time

So yesterday was thanksgiving.
My family and I usualy spend it up here at our house but this time we had to go down to my Grandparents because my grandmother had knee replacement sergery.
So my dad went down last friday and we headed down on wendsday.
It was ok, same old thanksgiving (dad cooked everything and we all just lounged around the house all day).
but now were back and dad wants to get strieght to work on decorating for christmas.
argg, cant we just be home for a while before we start working.
oh well beggers cant be choosers

I got my SAT scores a few days ago
i was kind of upset but not realy
i got the same score both times i took it
but since they take the highest of the scores the total went up
at least it was the parts that the schools look at that went up

Ok
so this week has been alittle hectic
friends breaking up
im in the middle of it all
argh

upset friends about god knows what
and so on

I finaly got away from it all this weekend
friday my brother went camping and my mom left on a retreat
it wa a weekend of just me and my dad
and guess what we did
absolutly nuthin just sat at home and watched tv
it was awsum

today they came home, ehh not bad
brother had some poison ivy

i had chior, kind of fun
then youth, i don't know why i still go to youth i just cant get myself to stop going

Well lets see
Friday my brother had his birthday party
we went skating and then he had a sleepover
so i got to sleep at 1:00am on Saturday

then on Saturday
i woke up at 8:00am
mom had a party all night
finally it ended
i didn't get to sleep until 2:30am on Sunday

on Sunday i woke up at 5:40am
went to sing at church
came home after lunch
and slept for 2.5 hours
woke up
went to choir
went to youth
and thats it
so I'm extreamly tired
and i figured out that the more tired you are the more depressed you are
so that sucks
but hey
I'm struggling through

Well.... life can only get better (I hope)

This weekend was bloody awful
first i got home from school and had to pack the truck for a weekend on skyline drive
we drove down
3 1/2 hr dire
uhhh

then we got there set up camp and finaly got dinner around 2200
slept using a hard full bookbag as a pillow
woke up the next morning and then found out that my family and a few of the other familys with us were goin on a 5 mile hike
well that was the longest 5 miles ive been on
it takes me 45 min to an hour to walk 3 miles
it took me 3 1/2 hours to hike this

rode home today
my mp3 players batteries died one hour into the ride
i had to switch almost every 20 min to keep my music playing

i got home and got ready to leave to chuch
then I went outside and talked go my GF
well ex-GF now
we broke up

so now life sucks
but ill be fine

it is finaly my senior year of high school

I just got a new costom made computer 3 days ago and it was working fine until i wouldnt turn on yesterday so we brought it back for them to fix it, hope that goes well

i gave highschool musical 2 another chance
i still didnt like it

The Vacation Blues

well
vacations ok
but id kindof rather stay at home

lets see
we started driveing down for 5 hrs to highpoint
to see their collage. it was nice
then we drove back 3hrs and went to bush gardens the next day

then today we drove another hour and stoped at Newport News
That collage sucked
then we drove the rest of the drive home

the best meal ive had since i left was at bojangles (chicken joint)

tommorow i get to leave again for a week to go to the beach
then i come home for 4 days
then its off to the mountains for a family reunion
then we head back home but stop at my grandparents first
my parents will stay a night and im there for 2-3 weeks

most people might say thats not bad
well
id rather be home doin other things (i.e. hanging with friends, sleeping, ect.)

oh well
thats about it
vacation basically eats up the rest of the summer
fun

Well the dinner that was supposed to be tonight was changed into a pool party last night
so i met the parents

Wow where to begin

I have an amazing girlfriend that is smart and fun to be with. I really hope to be with her for a long time. Going over to her house to meet the parents and have dinner. I hope i dont screw up. I probably will.

I'm working with preschoolers at the summer camp i teach at and their just so much fun(and tiering). The pays not bad either.

I'm making a couple extra bucks by doing some handyman work for a lady who is a friend of the family. Moving boxes and putting up nails pretty easy

Just had my Senior pictures. Thats good because that means its over and my parents will stop bugging me.

I just this minuet found my class ring after destroying my room to find it before senior pictures. The only reason im happy about that is because I was grounded from the computer until i found it.

I almost have my eagle in boy scouts so I'm looking forward to getting that over with.

So all in all my life is pretty great
I just hope its not at the peak cause that means the only way it can go is down
and that would suck.

first day of school (teaching at, that is)

well today was the first day i had to teach at the preschool I've been teaching at for 5 years now.

this year were doing it alitle differently
see
usualy i teach the 2's - 3's
and i still do but what the school is doing this year is all the classes are switching classes
so i travel with the kids to all the different classes
and 2 - 3 year olds are to young to do that
so bye doing that this year i figured out that sometimes you love 2-3 year olds
but also
sometimes you just wish you could skip until they were about 10 and then once the turn 12 skip till their 18
LOL
actually kids rock
even with the good and BAD times
they keep you young
then im one to be talking i mean look at me im only 15 years older than the kids im teaching and sometimes they seem more mature than me
LOL
im feeling alot better
since a very recent phone call
its wird how much a difference one hour on the phone can make
i was all depressed but now i feel great
well thats about all i have to say right now
i have 4 MORE DAYS WITH THEM
then i have atleast a year without 2 year olds(or at least a group of 13 of them)

also this is for one person and one person only and she knows who she is

Well im back

Im finally back from boy scout camp
and once again
IT SUCKED
I truely hate camping
well i guss it depends on who im with
but this trip i was on with a bunch of imiture kids who are just disgusting
i did alot of sleeping because i didnt feel like spending time with those people
when i wasn't sleeping i was takeing merit badges
that was ok
kind of fun
and durring the day when i wasnt doing either of the 2 i worked in the handiecraft area
that was fun
i was almost a staffer
or at least i did more work than the staffers

I got 4 merit badges
now i just need 4 more and i can get eagle
man im so close i can almost taste it(LICK)
yep i can taste it

New Blog, New people, New summer

Well I'm new to this site so i might as well start from scratch.
My name is jboll3, ya i know most people have names you can say (except for prince) but hey it works. Most people call me bob, which gets kind of confusing with my 16 brothers and sisters all named jboll1-17 when they all go by bob.

I love to sing, so i'm in a church choir. I love to program, so i take programing classes. I love to read, so i read books. I love to play video games, so im low on money.
I'm part of the Boy scouts of america, currently a life scout. And... lets see what else is there that you really don't care about me that im gonna tell you anyway. Oh i have a dog and love animals. Yep thats it.

So onto the summer
Summer began the routine of me being very lazy, I sit on my tush all day and do not leave my room other than to eat. Within all my lazy time i got a few programs made, worked on some of my web pages, read some, beat a few video games, and wrote a few chapters in my novel. Then finally something interesting happened. I actually had to leave my room for something. I had to leave to (tension music building in the background) go on tour with my choir.
It was a long ride on the bus. Only the toughest of the tough made it. Anyone who didn't was buried at every pit stop we made. I was able to make it because i had someone kind enough to talk to. i had never talked to this person before but this person was alot of fun. we will call this person bob for the rest of the story story for security reasons. We finally got to our destination,(tension music once again) Charleston, South Carolina. Those very few that got there alive, 43/43, had a 3 part mission to do.
1: Share our love in god through song at churches and retirement homes.
2: Explore the roads of historic Charleston (who knew, historical).
3: Spend time on Isle of palms beach.

Day 1:

We got off the bus at a church. We were greeted with smiles. about 15 minuets after we left the bus we had a spaghetti dinner. I used a sacrificable tenor to make sure that it wasn't poisoned, i think he used to be known as Jason. Then what we saw next no one expected. HE WAS (dramatic pause).........(a little bit longer dramatic pause).... OK (Ha ha had you goin there). So we all ate our spaghetti and went into the sanctuary to practice for the concert later that night. Finally, it was time for our concert. It seemed to have gone over well. No shattering of glass this time. When it was all over we headed with "Host Families" to sleep for the night. My roomate and i stayed with some cannibals on the run from the Antarctic government. They kept on trying to feed us and feed us but luckly i was trained in this region by the two year olds i thought the summer before at preschool, you only accept one thing to eat a day from strangers. We ate our banana splits and headed up to bed.

Day 2:

I woke up in our strangers house. They were cooking us breakfast on one eye of the stove and on the other they were cooking the marinade for us. My room mate and I ate a limited amount of food so we wouldn't be fat enough to eat. After our breakfast we headed out back to the church to get back on the bus to travel to historic charlston. We headed off the bus and walked for about 4-5 blocks to get to the randevu point with our tour guide. When he got there we walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and then we... walked, and walked, and walked some more. During all of this walking we learned some interesting facts about Charleston, SC. such as its historical, and its a city. (Nah but really it used to be a big pirate hang out spot. And that it is one of the most "godly" cities in the US, you cant walk down a road without finding a church. Then again that goes the same with pubs our tour guide said.)
After our tour our group gathered back together and headed off to get some lunch. After lunch we headed back to a hotel where we would be staying the next 2 nights. What we didnt know when we got there was the hotel was haunted. Sometimes the TV would turn on and off or change channels and no one had the remote. Sometimes you would get a phone call and no one would be there. Or even somtimes the air would be so crisp that it would freeze the color on a mood ring for 2 people. We got settled in the hotel and headed off to the retirement home to sing. We sang for these people and they seemed to enjoy it, everyone that didn't fall asleep that is, they were very nice but some people in the choir were afraid of them. We headed back on the bus and headed out to dinner. We ate at an applebees but for some reason all the employees were staring at bob and I.

Day 3:

Today was supposed to be our fun day at the ocean but i had to help out Steve find blues clues on the beach. one was on water. another was on a beach towel. and the third was on some sand. I wonder where blue wanted to go. After all that was over I went swimming in the ocean. dived down talked to sponge bob and Patrick (their not as stupid as they seem) and then headed inland for some food. We ate lunch and headed back to the hotel. the first thing everyone did after geting back from the ocean was go swimming in the pool (go figure). When it started to thunderstorm we headed in got changed into cloths and went to eat dinner.

Day 4:

It is our last day in South Carolina. We leave the hotel and go sing once more at the church we started at. After the church service we got on the bus and headed back to where we left. the whole bus ride Bob and i talked, watched movies, and listened to music. we finaly got back late on Day 4 but we got back all the same.

The trip was over
In less than 12 hours i had to go back to my teaching job and watch kids.
I did that for 2 days.

Yesterday (now It just broke midnight) was july 4th
My family Had BBQ'd ribs and Mac and cheese
After dinner we went off to our church to watch the fireworks.

Now im here just rattling on haveing nothing else to say
